CRAIGELLACHIE 17 YO 70 CL
Craigellachie have always done things their own way: the taste of the Whisky was described as Old Fashioned in 1891.
Today the same old-fashioned Worm Tubs are used to cool the spirit, which bestows it with extra flavour.
|Nose||flavours of peach, figs and melon, lemony at the end.|
|Palate||It opens very sweet with pineapple and custard creams, though the meatiness soon shines through. More smoke on the palate than the nose, with a touch of clove and oak.|
|Finish||Waxy and smoky on the finish.|
