ISLAY 6 ANS DLAING 6 YO 70 Cl
A rather rare 6 year old Islay single malt, distilled in 2009 at an undisclosed distillery and independently bottled by Japan's Three Rivers at a punchy 58.9% ABV after being aged in a refill sherry hogshead. We also consulted our in-house paleontologist (what, you don't have one of those?), and it turns out that the particular specimen adorning the bottle of this tasty whisky is a Pachycephalosaurus. Try saying that after a dram or two.
|Nose||Malty, ash and smokey lemons. Fresh, peaty and farmy. Grass and hay. Muesli. A touch of green apple, liquorish and some cooked vegetables.|
|Palate||Soft oily mouthfeel. Lots of smoke and quite clean. Ashy and mineral. A little ginger. Some vanilla and sugarwater with some mentholated lemondrops added to it.|
|Finish||Pretty long and smokey with white pepper, pink grapefruit zest and apple peel, porridge.|
