PX Cask is the first official bottling of Laphroaig to be aged in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, often referred to by their initials “PX”. Pedro Ximenez sherry is known for being naturally sweet.
Three types of casks are used for its maturation: American oak, Quarter Cask and Pedro Ximenez sherry. The final maturation in ex-PX casks brings richness, sweetness and roundness that perfectly matches the smoky peat of Laphroaig.

Tasting Notes
| Nose | Some charcoal, toffee, chervil, aniseed, raisins and Lapsang souchong arrive and depart with a bitter dark chocolate finish. |
| Palate | In the mouth: it's a sweet peat experience and whilst harmonious its as if the peat and sugary sweetness meet and almost cancel one another out. |
