A Dutch speciality that is similar to a Dry gin but also slightly reminiscent of a malt whisky is some respects - genever. Zuidam's Jonge Genever consists of 14.5% malt wine (the maximum for Jonge Genever is 15%). The mash is made from equal partsrye, corn and malted barley, distilled three times in copper pot stills, and is then partially redistilled with juniper, liquorice and aniseed.
