Perhaps the oldest form of alcohol in Mexico is pulque, a locally fermented agave drink that has been part of Mexican tradition and culture for over 1000 years. Often infused with natural flavours such as fresh fruits, coffee beans etc the pulque would be called ‘Curado’. This is the inspiration for Curado Tequila, which is designed to celebrate the very best of the agave plant to produce a totally new type of product.
A blanco Tequila from the highlands of Jalisco is infused with pieces of cooked agave, the species of which is varied and may even come from different regions of Mexico: Blue Weber from Arandas, Espadín from Oaxaca and Cupreata from Michoacán.
