The flagship single malt from Glenglassaugh gives a clear picture of what this old Highlander is all about, fruity and bright with a distinctive maritime edge. Red wine and sherry casks add aromas of berries and candied nuts to a palate of apricots and figs

Nose | Surprisingly fresh on the nose. Lots of pear and malt. Feels like a new make, little cask influence. Then slowly some ginger spiciness and subtle sherry notes. But pear and malt remain clearly in the foreground. |
Palate | Very light tannins, sherry now a little more present. Then the peppery spiciness sets in. |
Finish | The pear becomes stronger again in the finish. But Sherry is still there. The finish is not quite as short and a bit dry |
