Port and Peat, what a great combination! This whisky was distilled on 23rd February 2005, left to mature in a single port pipe for the next 14 years. A limited 272 bottles were released at 55.3% ABV for the 16th batch o f single cask releases fromthe Speyside distillery.
It is one of these interesting peated version of this Speyside distillery, one that adds length in the palate while rounded by the port notes.

Nose | Bramble and baked apple pie topped with burnt orange and blackcurrent on pastry. |
Palate | Roasted apple, liquorice and fennel with black cherry very characteristic of Port ageing, notes of salted caramel and dark chocolate. |
Finish | Very long and dominated by the dark chocolate with hints of mild tobacco spices. |
