Produced by Bols, the oldest spirits company in the world, founded in 1575 in Amsterdam, this ‘Genever’, or Dutch gin, offers an opportunity to experience an almost historic flavour and to revive a400 year-old tradition.

Protected since 2008, “genever” can only be applied to products that have been distilled in Holland using the highest quality ingredients. The heart of Bols Genever is a spirit that has been distilled three times from maize, rye and wheat. It is blended with another juniper distillate and diluted to 42%, with a level of care similar to that applied to Scottish single malt whiskies. In the 19th century, six times more genever was imported to France than gin. Numerous gin-based cocktails were originally made with genever.
