Created to commemorate the 900th anniversary of the foundation of the Grande Chartreuse by St Bruno in 1084, the first Carthusian monastery, Chartreuse Liqueur du 9ème Centenaire contains 47% ABV and shares certain characteristics with the green and yellow varieties - it has the aromatic profile of green Chartreuse, and the mellowness of the yellow - while at the time having its own character. The bottle is inspired by a design that was in circulation between 1840 and 1878.
