Founded in 1891, the Craigellachie distillery was fully renovated in 1964, increasing its number of stills from two to four. Joining Bacardi in 1998, it produces a single malt known for its richness notably used in the famous Dewar’s blended Scotch. Formed from a succession of spicy, animal, mineral, salty and exotic sequences each more intense than the next, this magnificent version’s flavor and aroma palette is an incredibly faithful reflection of Craigellachie’s deeply old school personality.

Nose | Frank and voluptuous. Enveloped in malted barley and chocolate, the first nose reveals exquisite, juicy fruit (apricot, peach, lime). |
Palate | Direct, invigorating. The slender and gracious attack becomes rich hazelnut and mineral. |
Finish | Waxy, malty and mineral (slate). Like the palate, the after-taste adds its take on exoticism (mango compote) and salinity. |
