The first release in Brian Kinsman’s Malt Masters series is primarily maturated in ex-bourbon barrels before being transferred to ex-sherry casks for added complexity.
Appearance : topaz with subtle amber glints. Nose : warming with dark chocolate, vanilla, dried fruits, almond and walnut. Turmeric, ginger, fruit compotes and a delicate floral note develop with time. Palate : assertive opening with mirabelle and greengage plums held together by an invigorating acidity. The sherry influence is underpinned by toffee, a pinch of salt, light tobacco and citrus fruit.
