Kitcho Hozan shochu is made from a mix of rice previously inoculated with a fungus, and sweet potato. After several days of fermentation, the mixture is distilled in traditional pot still.
Slightly diluted to be bottled at 25% ABV, its aromatic richness and roundness will seduce lovers of traditional Japanese beverages.

Nose | the deep nose is particularly juicy (orange), before revealing spices of a rare power (nutmeg, clove). Allowed to breathe, it becomes roasted and floral. |
Palate | The full-bodied palate is delicately tannic and jammy. Notes of quince jelly and beeswax pay tribute to its maturity. |
Finish | The chocolatey and slightly earthy finish is generous and the retro-nasal olfaction evokes Banyuls wine. |
