Distilled in Scotland in 1994 and matured in a wine cask from Jura- Deep amber / copper with some sediment evident- Plush aromatics hint at dried fruits, vanilla then later, beeswax, light raisin cake plus whispers of ginger and sulphur- Quite intense, with ginger and cardamom featuring on the palate, followed by malt and bittersweet oak- Well balanced spices- Shows solid length- The name refers to a style of wine made from grapes dried on straw mats
